Kathy Jane Ardillo
OFW, Japan
Kathy Jane Ardillo heard about the fintech site Pinoy Luminaries from the owner of the Japanese school in Davao, where she took classes before coming to Japan for a housekeeping job.
“Walang hassle ’yung processing ng loan. Madali lang and very accommodating ’yung kausap namin,” Kathy shares. Having submitted all the documents required for the loan, she thought the transaction was “super smooth and fast” and was able to get the loan funded in less than a month.
She also appreciates the efficient customer service and always getting a prompt reply to her loan questions and queries. After paying off her first loan in eight months, she thought of getting a second loan while in Japan, for which she was able to get a lower interest rate than the initial loan. Despite not being in the Philippines and able to follow up on the loan, she thought the process of getting the second loan approved was smooth and hassle-free.
Now in Nagoya City, Japan, where she works for a housekeeping service, Kathy Jane expresses how grateful she is in the pandemic that she continues to work and get paid. Her usual workday involves providing general housekeeping services to two to three homes.
“Since first time ko po mag-abroad, minsan na-ho-homesick, pero most of the time I enjoyed being here in Japan,” Kathy shares. “Maganda ang lugar at mababait ang mga tao.” She is hoping that she’ll be able to save enough for her future plans: to build her own house and set up her own business back home.
